Which duration suits your trip?
Validity runs from the moment of first use - precise to the hour, not from the time of purchase or collection. Activate a 24-hour card at 10:00 and it is valid until 10:00 the following day.
- 24 hours works well for a packed day with two or three highlights and plenty of public transport hops.
- 48 hours is the most popular option: enough time to cover Belem, the historic centre, and a day trip to Sintra or Cascais.
- 72 hours suits a longer stay where you use the transport network every day and want to visit several museums.
Is it worth it?
Public transport alone accounts for a large part of the value. A 72-hour public transport pass costs around €34 on its own. The 72-hour Lisboa Card costs €62 and adds free entry to 51 attractions on top. Include the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos (approx. €18), the Torre de Belem (approx. €15) and the Castelo de Sao Jorge (approx. €15), and the card pays for itself after just three visits.
Every included attraction can be visited once free of charge. The full list of sights is on the Attractions page. For details on how to redeem and activate the card, see our FAQ. Back to the Lisboa Card.
